Dan Maharry started out as a student film journalist. Since
leaving university, he has written and edited numerous programming books covering
technologies such as HTML, Java, C++, C#, Classic ASP, Perl, ASP.NET, Javascript,
Fireworks, and Visual Studio for a variety of publishers including
Wrox,
Friends Of Ed,
Glasshaus,
Apress,
Wiley,
Microsoft Press,
Sys-con,
Addison Wesley,
SAMS, and
O’Reilly Associates.
The books he has worked on have now sold over 750,000 copies worldwide and have led him to further
work with
Computer Bookshops, PAG, and Microsoft's e-Learning
wing as well as a spell as a web designer with
3Form Ltd.
In 2005, Dan started work as Technical Manager for Co-operative
IT and Midcounties Co-operative Domains Ltd,
who act as registry operator for the dotCoop sponsored
top-level domain name for DCLLC and
ICANN. He is now a senior developer for
Co-operative Web, a software development workers’
co-operative based in Birmingham, UK.
