Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 Downloads

Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 is a great book, but as feedback through the forum proves, it’s appendix on installing the sample code is very complete. So, in an effort to help everyone and see how easy it is to generate help files, here's a replacement for Appendix B of that books and the code for the site in full.

Note that if you double-click the helpfile to open it, you may get a security warning appear asking if you want to open this file. If you do, please click to clear the "Always ask before opening this file" check box, and then click Open. See this page for more information on why it happens.

Visual Studio Templates

I’ve been working a bit with test-driven development using both MbUnit and NUnit recently. Very eye-opening. To save a bit of time, I’ve created a couple of Visual Studio templates for simple project structures containing a class library and the code that tests it. Not to be biased, I’ve created them for the latest releases of both MbUnit (2.3) and NUnit (2.2.9). Download them to your VS2005 project templates folder and they’ll appear in the dialog to create a new project.
